The compulsion to buy plastic junk is never greater than when organising a children's party. Even true greenies have trouble turning their backs on themed plastic party paraphernalia, all of which has a useful lifespan of about two hours and then spends the nest millenium clogging up a landfill site. But with a little forethought about what you choose to eact on, decorate with and give as presents, your little ones birthhday needn't leave you with an almighty plastic hangover.
