Delivery And Returns Information

At Little Cherry we know how important it is to receive your parcels quickly and efficiently, especially when working to a deadline such as a party or event. To keep things simple, we offer a choice of Royal Mail (for lighter orders) a Standard Parcel service (for orders over 3kg) and a Next Working Day tracked courier service (including an AM delivery option) if you need your order in a hurry. We also have a Saturday option which is a premium courier option and is charged accordingly. All our charges are calculated on the weight of your order and your delivery address. Orders sent by Next Working Day are tracked and will require a signature unless you specify a safe place to leave your goods when you place your order.

We dispatch all orders as quickly as possible and our aim is to package all orders received by 12 noon on the same day, ready for dispatch. This will not always be possible during very busy periods but we guarantee that all orders are dispatched within 2 working days. Orders placed with our Next Working Day service can be placed up to 1pm and will be dispatched on the same day for delivery on the next available working day (Monday - Friday).This service can also be used if you want a delivery to arrive on a specific day (not weekends!) Just add your preferred day to the comments section at the checkout.

We try to keep our delivery costs to a minimum but please bear in mind that the tableware is heavy and bulky and our prices do include postage, packing materials and VAT. We do not subsidise postage by increasing the price of our goods.
We also keep the important issue of packaging at the forefront of our mind and none of our products are over-packaged. Some of our products have a hygienic, lightweight polythene wrap which protects them in transit and keeps them safe for direct food contact. We package your products in recyclable boxes We use recyclable and biodegradable materials inside our boxes such as cornstarch protective chips.

We do also reuse protective packaging and boxes that we are recycling from deliveries into us (which may contain plastic bubblewrap or polystyrene chips but better to reuse than throw away!).  Please do your bit and recycle all packaging once you have received your goods.

Deliveries inside the UK

Postage and packing is charged depending on the weight of your order and the delivery location, as follows:

  • Very small and light orders (under 200g) with 2nd Class post start from only £2.95
  • First Class post starts from £3.95
  • Parcels over 3kg in weight will be sent on a Standard Parcel service which may be either the Royal Mail or a courier service
  • FREE UK mainland shipping (excludes Highlands and offshore locations) is available on orders over £100 

The Royal Mail is not a guaranteed timed service so please opt for the Next Working Day Delivery service if your order must be received within a short timeframe or if you require a tracked service.
Next Working Day Delivery starts from £9.95* (orders must be received by 1pm)

We will deliver your parcel on the following working day. There is also an AM or a Saturday delivery option. Standard Next Day Orders are not delivered on Saturdays so any orders placed after 1pm on Thursday and before 1pm on Friday will be delivered on the following Monday. Orders placed after 1pm on Fridays will be dispatched the following Monday for Tuesday delivery.

Specific time of day slots are not available unless you select the AM option.

*This service is not currently available for the Scottish Highlands and Islands. 

Please ensure that you are available to take delivery of your items as we require a signature on receipt of goods for ALL deliveries sent by courier unless you have specified a safe place. Our couriers are happy to leave your parcel in a safe place (pop a note in the comments section and we will inform our couriers of your preference).  If this is not possible, why not have it delivered to your work address or to your neighbour? We do not accept responsibility for late delivery if your parcel cannot be delivered due to nobody being available to sign for it. Couriers will leave a card if they have been unable to leave the parcel in a safe place and you will need to rearrange delivery direct with the courier company. We are also unable to accept liability for late delivery due to circumstances beyond our control such as severe weather or heavy traffic congestion.

*Deliveries outside of UK mainland locations will be charged at a higher rate.

Returns Policy

We hope that you are fully satisfied with your order but you can return it to us if not. We do offer what is effectively a FREE sample service for most of our tableware range as returns of these items can be expensive and it is not very eco-friendly to transport goods up and down the UK! Please use this service if you wish to check items before placing an order.

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations (June 2014) you have the right to cancel your order for a full refund. We are sorry but we are unable to refund postage and packing costs, unless goods are deemed to be faulty (not fit for purpose).

To cancel an order, please email us, or write to us within fourteen days following delivery of your goods, quoting your order number.

Unless you notify us within fourteen days of receipt we are not obliged to accept a return of unwanted or incompatible goods, except where they are faulty. We reserve the right to offer a replacement of faulty goods. We will not refund goods which are not faulty after the fourteen day period.You must return goods to us complete with all relevant packaging and seals intact, in re-saleable condition, at your own cost within 14 days of notifying us of your intention to return the goods. This does not affect your statutory rights.To ensure goods reach us safely we advise you to use recorded delivery or obtain a proof of posting and arrange insurance against loss or damage. We cannot accept liability for returned goods that are lost or damaged in transit or which are not returned within fourteen days of your original notification to return.

All refunds will be made within 14 days of us receiving notice of cancellation and return of the goods. Little Cherry reserves the right to collect any goods not returned on request, and deduct the direct cost of retrieval from your refund; this is in accordance with the Distance Selling Regulations 2000.  Your statutory rights are not affected.

Deliveries outside the UK

We are happy to supply countries outside of the UK but are unable to take responsibility for goods in transit. Your delivery may also be subject to customs charges over which we have no control, and which must be borne by you. 
We send orders under 2kg with the overland post which is not tracked and can take up to 2 weeks to arrive. If you wish to have a tracked or express service then please email us at support@littlecherry.co.uk for a quote. 
Orders between 3kg and 5kg will be sent by courier if you live in the EU.

Customs Information

When ordering goods from Little Cherry for delivery outside of the European Union, you may be subject to import duties and taxes which are levied once the package reaches your country. Any additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country, so you should contact your local customs office for further information. Additionally, please note that when ordering from Little Cherry, you are considered the importer and must comply with all laws and regulations of the country in which you are receiving the goods.

Your privacy is important to us and we know that you care about how information about your order is used and shared. We would like our international customers and customers dispatching products internationally to be aware that cross-border deliveries are subject to opening and inspection by customs authorities.

Also, we may provide certain order, delivery and product information to our international carriers and such information may be communicated by the carriers to customs authorities in order to facilitate customs clearance and comply with local laws.If the order is a gift, the package is marked "Gift" but the cost of the item is still stated on the customs form. Customs authorities require us to state the value of the gift item directly on the package.

Delivery times are based on orders being received before 12 midday. Orders received after midday will normally be processed for shipping on the following working day. Working days are Monday to Friday and exclude all local and national holidays (everybody deserves a holiday!).
