This great range of Palm Leaf Tableware is completely natural, sustainable and compostable!
The naturally fallen palm leaves are collected and soaked in spring water, before being heat pressed into shape and dried in the sun. Through this process there are no coatings applied or any other additives, so the plates are completely natural.
India is a rapidly developing country, but there are still rural areas where poverty is rife; we buy these products through a social enterprise and ensure that wages and working conditions are both very good.
Although they are 100% natural leaves, the plates are very sturdy and suitable for hot, wet and oily foods.
This range can be home composted, or rinsed and re-used, or you could take your plate down the park for a game of frisbee* if you like.
